MCB Specifications and Standards

MCB are designed to operate at a nominal voltage of 230/400V AC and a frequency of 50/60Hz. They are rated for a maximum current of 63A and are suitable for use in circuits with a maximum short-circuit capacity of 6000A for 6A-40A rated currents and 4500A for 50A-63A rated currents. MCBs should comply with international standards such as IEC 60898 and national standards such as GB 10963.1. 

When selecting an MCB, it is important to consider the following factors:

• Rated current: Choose an MCB with a rated current that matches the expected load of the circuit.
• Tripping characteristics: Different MCBs have different tripping characteristics (e.g., B, C, D types) which are suitable for different types of loads.
• Number of poles: MCBs are available in single-pole, double-pole, three-pole, and four-pole configurations, depending on the application.

MCBs are typically installed in a distribution board or consumer unit, and they should be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and local electrical codes. It is important to ensure that the MCB is properly wired and that the connections are tight to prevent overheating and arcing.
